These miniature SMD reed sensors are designed for low power, high speed switching applications, and have a cost advantage over the standard size SMD reed sensor. As they are molded with pre-flattened lead outs, no shock is transferred into the device when SMD formation takes place. Various activating distances are available depending on the magnet and the AT band used. The sensors are tested 100% for operate and release AT, contact resistance and variable contact resistance before packing. Our products are completely Lead-free and conform to the RoHS directive. Possible Magnet Actuations

A few examples of magnet actuation are shown above. Being an omnipolar device, this sensor can be actuated with either a north pole or a south pole or both. Choosing the right AT band, magnet strength, and operating axis, will restrict the number of operates and releases to one. Tape and Reel Dimensions

The R3-S and the R3-F can be tape and reel packed for automatic pick and place, as per IEC-60286-3 norms. 2500 will be packed per spool. 40 - 80g force will be required to peel off cover tape.
