R2E, Form E, Latching, SMD Reed Sensor

RoHS Compliant and Lead-free

These bi-stable reed sensors are built with an inbuilt biasing magnet. As they are molded with pre-flattened lead outs, no shock is transferred into the device when SMD formation takes place. Various latching/unlatching distances are available depending on the magnet used. The sensors are tested 100% for release and operate AT, contact resistance and variable contact resistance before packing. Our products are completely Lead-free and conform to the RoHS directive.

As shown in the examples above, like poles of magnet and sensor cause a latch, and unlike poles, an un-latch. Choosing the right AT band, magnet strength, and operating axis, will restrict the number of operates and releases to one. Tape and Reel Dimensions

The R2E-S and the R2E-F can be tape and reel packed for automatic pick and place, as per IEC-60286-3 norms. 2000 will be packed per spool. 40 - 80g force will be required to peel off cover tape.
