R2B, Normally Closed, SMD Reed Sensor
These normally closed SMD reed sensors are built with an inbuilt biasing magnet. As they are molded with pre-flattened lead outs, no shock is transferred into the device when SMD formation takes place. Various activating distances are available depending on the magnet and the AT band used. The sensors are tested 100% for release and operate AT, contact resistance and variable contact resistance before packing. Our products are completely Lead-free and conform to the RoHS directive.

Possible Magnet Actuations
As shown in above examples, unlike poles of magnet and sensor cause the sensor to release. Like poles do not cause a release. Choosing the right AT band, magnet strength, and operating axis, will restrict the number of operates and releases to one. Tape and Reel DimensionsThe R2B-S and the R2B-F can be tape and reel packed for automatic pick and place, as per IEC-60286-3 norms. 2000 will be packed per spool. 40 - 80g force will be required to peel off cover tape.
