Bounce Time of a reed contact, measured in milli-seconds, is the time taken for the contact to bounce for a period of milliseconds before coming to a full rest and providing unbroken contact.
This is normally in the range of 0.5 ms to 1 ms. Increasing the over-drive reduces the bounce time.
