These Miniature Reed Switches are sputtered with a proprietary multi-layer Ruthenium process for high durability when switching  low level loads. They are classified by glass diameter and length, and each of them are highly configurable by Release AT, or differential. This helps customers reach non-standard on and off distances as some applications need wider on/off distances and some, narrower or short and precise on/off distances.

 

These miniature reed switches are built with flattened leads which are oriented to the contact inside. This way, when a batch of reed switches are used for an application and oriented one way, they all perform very similarly. These also aim to maintain a constant operating distances when used with magnets having a N-S or S-N orientation when the magnet is approaching the reed switch in parallel.

 

Another added advantage is that when these reed switches are SMD formed, there is no need for any undue pressure to flatten the leads, which could in turn transfer shock to the tiny glass seals. These reed switches are already pressed with wide leads that help the formed devices sit flat on PCBs.

 

For environmental reasons, the leads are plated with pure Tin, which is Lead-free.
