📝 Description
These ultra-miniature NC SMD reed sensors are engineered with an integrated biasing magnet for making them operate as normally closed devices. Molded with pre-flattened leads, they ensure minimal shock transfer during SMD assembly, contributing to their durability and stability in operation. Depending on the magnet strength and AT band configuration, these sensors offer versatile activating distances to suit different application needs.
Prior to packaging, each of these ultra-miniature NC sensors undergoes thorough 100% testing to verify Operate AT, Release AT, Contact Resistance, Re-closure and Variable Contact Resistance parameters. This rigorous testing process ensures consistent and dependable performance in various environmental conditions.
The design of these ultra-miniature NC sensors is such that it needs to be actuated with a magnet of opposite polarity for the sensor to change state from normally closed to normally open. By selecting the appropriate AT band, magnet strength, and operating axis, users can control the number of operate and release cycles, typically limiting them to one cycle per activation. Bringing the magnet too close to the sensor, beyond actuation range may cause re-closure.
All dimensions provided are in millimeters (mm), ensuring compatibility and ease of integration into compact electronic designs. These features make the ultra miniature NC SMD reed sensors ideal for applications where space is limited and reliable switching performance is critical, in power saving applications such as in portable electronics, medical devices, and automotive systems.
Their compact size, robust construction, and precise operation make them a preferred choice among engineers seeking high-performance reed switch solutions for demanding applications.
